From Colorado with love!

Hallo Zusammen!
Ich heisse Francois, bin aus Paris und lebe jetzt in Colorado. My Deutsch ist leider furchbar, und muss aus English schreiben, aber ich lese und verstehe schon und moechte gerne ueben.
I have lived in Schleswig Holstein as a kid and learned Hochdeutsch and some Plattdeutsch, even though that is under plausible deniability.
I have been riding motorcycles for many years, and for the past 20 years they have all been BMW. Currently I have the following solo machines:
1971 R60/5 black, toaster tank – for gentlemen rides
1992 R100 GSPD white/red – for adventure
1999 R1100RT green – for long distance touring.
I also have a dog, a Bernese Mountain dog. She speaks Swiss German, of course! She has been unhappy when I departed for rides without her. In order to accommodate her (She who must be obeyed) I recently (2 months ago) purchased a hack:
1972 R75/5 blue, standard tank, with unidentified old Ural tub, blue as well.
On the Ural board, I met Claus from Zeitlos, who has very kindly spent time to assist me and provided recommendations. He pointed to the Dreiradler board for some examples. I found the reading very interesting, and decided to join, even though I am not in Germany (I am considering purchasing and keeping another /5 in Germany though, for when I visit).
Here is a little picture (and yes, the sidecar wheel is a little too tall, but it’s not creating any issue with handling).
Danke sehr!
