Mal was anderes: Ich bin gerade am Tour planen und überlege, welche Dinge ich so mitnehmen muss. Was sagen die Rally- Veteranen? Gibt's vor Ort Futter oder ist kochen angesagt? Getränke sind ja wohl vorhanden...
Mein Urlaub ist genehmigt, vom 10. bis zum 16.2. will ich unterwegs sein. Ich könnte jetzt schon los...

Also 2010 mussteste immer den Berg runter, zur Pommesbude. Das galt auch für's Bier. 2009 dagegen war alles in "drei Schritten" erreichbar. Wir richten uns auf zwei Abendessen und zwei Frühstücke in Selbstversorgung ein. Ausserdem auf beschränkte Sanitäreeinrichtungen. . .

Wobei wir wohl Freitag satt und vollgetankt ankommen werden. 1300 in Dover plus 490km. . .

Mit anderen Worten; es wird Sonntagabend als erstes geduscht!

Ich versuche gerade, ein Zimmer in Cardiff zu buchen. Im Hotel in Whitchurch, jetzt Travelodge. Irgendwie klappt die Zahlung per Kreditkarte nicht, wird nicht akzeptiert.Karte ist gültig, was mache ich falsch? Es kommt auch keine Info, dass das Hotel ausgebucht ist...

Wird denn die Kartenart (Master / VISA o.ä.) überhaupt akzeptiert (entsprechende Symbole vorhanden?) ? Ich persönlich würde VISA empfehlen, wird eigentlich im ganzen UK angenommen ...

Okay boys, come back to business. After the last winterdays, I make a very difficult test with my
"Plattschüpp" or dustpan. Clean up the place. Removing the with s. . . I come to the point, it is not
effective. It hurte my backbone. Cause I chop the Plattschüpp, to make it handy for the cartrunk of
my old FORD Escort, 28 years ago. And now the shaft is to short, or I get to old. . .

Over the years it was a little bit loosy too. So I decided to tune it. Make it more handy. . .


This is the solution. Take only the old and rusty pan and put spade shaft to it. . .


Yes, I know. It is not allowed in the club of the gardener. Sorry.

Sind die Winter in Südengland so wie die in Finnland? Wenn ja, muss ich mir noch überlegen, wie ich Anfahrthilfen/Schneeketten montiert bekomme...
Es wär ja schon toll, wenn wenigstens etwas Schnee liegt, sonst müssen wir nach der Dragon Rally schnell nach Norwegen zur Krystall- Rally

2009 war ein Kollege (und Hobbyschiläufer) mit dem PKW wg 'nem Job in der Nähe von London, als die Katastrophe begann. Er hat morgens halt die Ketten drauf gemacht und fertig. . .



Ich selber wurde 1982 um Ostern (März(?)) rum, von 'nem satten Schneefall im Lake District erwischt, war ziemlich blauäugig mit der Güllepumpe unterwegs. Sind dann mit der Bahn nach London. die Army soll drei Kadetten in 'ner Übung verloren haben. Damals war's wohl heftig. . .

So sah's bei uns, schneemässig, um Weihnachten auch aus. . .
